Learning Outcomes

At the end of the training, the participants will be able to:

  • Elaborate the stakeholder’s roles and responsibilities in promoting and enhancing quality assurance and quality development at TVET Institutions

  • Recommend ways that can be applied at the TVET institutions to link quality assurance, quality development as well as learning and teaching process

  • Design a session that can be applied during a learning and teaching process to highlight the application of innovative learning and teaching process at TVET institutions

  • Design a process, outcome, output, and quality indicator for activities that are related to learning and teaching

Meet your Instructor

Ms Raihan Tahir graduated from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur with B.Sc (Ed) Honours in Mathematics (Major) and Biology (Minor), Masters in Education from Open University Malaysia and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from Australia. Owner of Exzellent Profis Sdn. Bhd., Professional Trainer (International Accredited Training Program), Master Trainer (Train The Trainer Programme), Certified Facilitator (Ministry of Human Resource), Master Trainer (Work Process Curriculum for the Implementation of the National Dual Training System) and External Verifier for City & Guilds, ASEAN. Taught students at different qualification levels; established and head the quality assurance section, developed policies and procedures, established, and maintained Quality Management System at her previous organisation, GMI; Active facilitator in occupational framework, standards, and curriculum development for Ministry of Human Resource; trained and developed personnel from industries, private and public agencies in Malaysia, ASEAN Member States, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Sudan, and Oman.

Meet your Instructor

Georg Spöttl; Prof. Dr.; Dr. h.c; Dipl.-Ing.; M.A. Mr. Georg Spöttl is Emeritus from a Full Professorship at the University of Bremen (Until 2015). He was the Chairman of the Department Work-Processes and TVET and Director and Board Member of the Institute for Technological Education (ITB). Formerly he was Full Professor at “biat”, the University of Flensburg, Germany. Currently, Georg Spöttl is the Director of the Steinbeis Center InnoVet and Honorary President of the TVET Research Community in Germany (GTW). He is a Member of the UNESCO working group “World Thought Leaders within the 4th Industrial Revolution” and a Board Member of “The New York Academy of Science”. For more than 20 years he was a Visiting Professor at UTHM in Malaysia. His areas of special interest are curriculum development for industry 4.0, qualification research, didactics and TVET teacher training. His basic background is an apprenticeship in automotive mechanics.
